While a clear best in slot BiS list is always available in WoW Classic, the items contained might be extremely hard or expensive to get. Thus, we will try to give at least one alternative, for most slots in the list, so that you can pick where and how to farm them.

We will be linking best in slot gear lists for every raid tier in this guide, which can be helpful in order to understand how to progress from hitting Level 60, to getting pre-raid best in slot and from then to clearing all raid tiers. This is the gear we recommend you to chase in the Blackwing Lair.

Paladin's Tier 2, Judgement Armor is the same as the tier 1 set, in that it is mostly designed around being decent for ever role instead of being excellent for one.

Instead, your BiS setup will consist of similar pieces from the first two phases combined with a few new off pieces and weapons that are available in Blackwing Lair.

While the main focus is on Blackwing Lair gear, the list below also contains some gear from older raids, epic PvP sets above rank 11 and world bosses, when warranted, in order to create a good list for players who regularly clear the raids up to Tier 2.

In order to get ready for raiding, it is recommended that you follow this guide in order to learn which gear to gather for maximizing HPS before ever setting foot in raids, and probably also before getting your first epic loot.

Even so, expect to get a few pieces that you will have a hard time replacing, such as Second Wind and Briarwood Reed. Molten Core and Onyxia's Lair are the first raids in WoW Classic, and will probably award you with your first pieces of epic gear! While the tier set is not great, there are many pieces of gear and weapons that you will be using for multiple phases out of Molten Core.

While not a massive concern for Paladin s, a little bit of Fire Resistance can sometimes be helpful. Read this guide to figure out where and which pieces to wear!

Some items, which are not powerful enough to be in the best in slot list, have special properties that make them very valuable to acquire for specific encounters or as a weapon swap mid-fight. We will list the most notable special items for the current phase, and their effects and application below.

Shaman Leveling Guide. Warlock Leveling Guide.Category: Class GuidesPaladin Guides. Welcome to our holy paladin guide for WoW Classic! Fortunately this guide will make that learning process much quicker! There will also be an extensive section for optimization, covering stat priority for gearing, professions for added functionality, enchants for added bonuses, and the best consumables you can bring to help you keep your raid group alive. Just like how only the Horde can play as a shaman, only the Alliance can play as a paladin.

Race choices are limited to just two; human and dwarf. You can check out all the differences here. However, paladins do not benefit from in-combat regeneration, which makes the ability less impactful for their class.

Dwarves also have access to Stoneformwhich grants a slight boost to survivability. Either way, humans or dwarves work great as holy paladins.

Classic Holy Paladin Healer Guide

Your talent choices will ultimately depend upon your role within your raid group. One is your go-to, everyday build, while the other is a niche build oriented around boosting the power of the casters in your raid. Note that it does have 5 points in Improved Blessing of Mightwhich means that this is also a great build for maintaining blessing buffs.

This one empties the retribution field, while also drawing several points out of holy. There are many things that separate an average player from a great player, but one of those things is how you choose to optimize your character. Holy paladins are slightly different from other healers, mainly because of the talent Illuminationwhich refunds the mana cost of heals that critically strike.

Not only that, but holy paladins do not benefit from in-combat mana regeneration through spirit. To complete the weirdness, paladins are also the only healer to wear plate armor. Weapon skill is not as important for holy paladins as it is for retribution paladins, but it will still give you a slight bonus. It will allow you to land any offensive skills you do cast, but it will also boost your critical strike chance by a small amount.

While you can pick any profession, there are a few that seem like natural choices due to their functionality and relevance to raiding as a whole. Just like every other class, holy paladins must choose the proper enchants to fully optimize their equipment. Fortunately the consumable requirements for a holy paladin are much friendlier than some other roles.

Most of your consumables are actually focused around making sure you have enough mana to last through an entire fight, meaning your consumables are focused on endurance rather than power!

Diablo IV. Borderlands 3. Overwatch 2. General Leveling Guide.Category: Class GuidesPaladin Guides. Welcome to our retribution paladin guide for WoW Classic! Not only do retribution paladins deal damage, but their blessing buffs are crucial for empowering your whole raid group.

Despite a simple rotation, there is a fair bit to understand when it comes to a retribution paladin. That includes race choices, different talent tree builds, and several different ways to optimize your performance!

Paladins are by nature followers of the light, which certainly can be found throughout the retribution specialization. The ability to buff allies and also serve as a backup healer are important to keeping a retribution paladin relevant despite low damage output.

The paladin is a hybrid class by nature, evidenced by their ability to fulfill all three roles. When a class has so much flexibility, it loses specialty. In the case of paladins, they lose out on superior damage in favor of more utility and healing.

Paladins can only be played by two races from the Alliance. These include humans and dwarves. Neither race have very good active racial abilities that are good for retribution paladins, but humans do have a slight edge in offensive power due to Mace Specialization and Sword Specialization.

On the other hand, dwarves are a bit tankier because of the use of Stoneform. If you want to be safer, play a dwarf. If you want a little more power, pick a human! You can check out all the racial differences here. There are multiple different ways that you can build a retribution talent tree. Are you strictly focusing on damage, in which case you want Consecration? Do you need to build a raid-supportive path instead so you have Blessing of Kings?

Your talent choices are definitely up to you, but here are a few good talent trees to serve as starting points:. It takes you far enough in the holy tree to grab Consecrationin the protection tree to put 3 points in Precisionand in the retribution tree to grab Repentance. The 5 points in Divine Intellect at the beginning of the holy tree are flexible and can be swapped elsewhere if you so desire.

This build is a little more defensive, opting to take Blessing of Kings instead of Consecration. This build is very support-oriented and has less of a focus on dealing damage. This build should only be used in scenarios where your raid needs more damage overall, but is struggling to keep the tank alive.

Something that is often overlooked in regards to retribution paladins is optimization.
